Crossovers
(Oz/ Alias)
Cat and Mouse
by sistersleep
Sark/Keller - Does anyone really need a reason to read Sark/Keller? If you're
the hard sell, know that this story is all kinds of hot. Keller gets a little
more than he bargained for from a casual encounter, but he's hardly complaining.
It's twisted and scary and wrong - YES!
(Alias/The Shield)
Thinner Lines
by Jennifer-Oksana
(Multiple pairings but not the focus of the fic) Vic and Jack in the same fic
and they manage to not kill each other! It's amazing! I don't think there's
been a crossover this potentially fraught with egos since Judge Dredd met Batman.
Uncannily like an episode of Alias (maybe not so much like The Shield
but who cares, Vic is so... *Vic*). The tension builds convincingly and the
non-linear flow of time makes you work just that little bit harder to stay on
top of the story - and it's always more satisfying that way.
(Firefly/ST:TNG)
Serenterprise-D
by Samantha
Absolutely HILARIOUS Firefly/ST:TNG crossover. Brilliant, and damn funny.
(From the Mixed-Up
Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler/The Young Unicorns)
Marble
into Music by Glossolalia
Brilliant, touching Emily Gregory/Claudia Kincaid fic, as told by Mrs. Basil
E. Frankweiler. Full of dry humor with love shining through beneath, this story
perfectly captures both Claudia and Emily, and the pairing just makes so much
*sense*. I'm amazed no one ever thought of it before. *loves*
(Harry Potter/Sandman)
Incarnate
by Fay Jay
Snape learns that stoppering Death isn't exactly as easy as he'd always thought.
Lovely, bittersweet and beautifully capturing both Snape and Death, this is
a great crossover.
(Harry Potter/Sandman)
Place
We'd Never Leave by Dre
Snape meets Despair. It's not pretty, but oh god, the story itself is *gorgeous*.
And the *ending*. I never thought I'd find myself feeling sorry for Despair,
but Dre manages it. And Snape...
(Discworld/Sandman)
Whose Names
Are Death by Afrai
Brilliant, poignant, clever story in which Death of the Endless visits Death
of Discworld.
(Discworld/Sandman)
Further
Reflections by foreverdirt
Susan Sto-Helit and Death of the Endless meet, and find they have things in
common. Just delightful. The voices are spot-on.
(HP/XMM)
Curiosities by
Penknife
Tom Riddle meets Erik Lehnsherr. Utterly creepy in the best way.
(HP/Sandman)
Prelude
by Nifra Idril
Tom Riddle pores over Roderick Burgess's journals on how to capture Death, as
Alex Burgess tries to keep him entertained and away from the prisoner in the
basement. Shivery goodness.
(Ultimate Spider-man/Ultimate
X-Men)
Spray Evenly,
Until Slightly Damp by Azurine
Peter Parker and Wolverine sounds like an insane idea, especially in Ultimate-verse,
but Az brings both the hot and the funny here. Logan is hurt bad, Peter's hiding
him, and the smell is going to get Peter in trouble. So what's a superhero to
do? Give the man a bath, right? And if that leads to other...activities, well,
it's not like Logan's going to remember...is he?
(Red Dwarf/Farscape)
Work

Rimmer in
Ace-mode encounters Chiana and naturally gets screwed while saving her life.
This is just how it would happen. And Chiana's comment about humans who want
to save the galaxy is just so perfect.
(Farscape/Firefly)
Crosses and
Naughts by Thea
Mal and Aeryn make for a great pairing in this story, both a little broken and
lost. This story is gritty yet hopeful, with lovely characterizations, especially
of Aeryn.
(Ultraviolet/BtVS/PotC)
Carousel
by Mary Borsellino
An odd mixture of universes which works surprisingly well, with a good Dawn-voice,
at ease in the more sombre world of Ultraviolet.
(X-Men/X-Files)
Given Up
by Yahtzee63
A wonderful blend of the X-Men and X-Files universe. Scully's regret is beautifully
rendered and her climatic conversation with Nightcrawler is perfectly done.
(Smallville/Sports Night)
Networking
by shrift
This story comes with a warning: VERY HOT.
Scalding. Great dialogue too (just so I can show I noticed more than the sex)
and definitely bringing the Sorkin. And both characters were beautiful and flirty
while still being completely them - which was just damn good fun to read.
(Alias/Bridget Jones)
Jack
Bristow at the Edge of Reason by Yahtzee
Talk about an unlikely pairing. It's a madcap
adventure of Bridget and Jack Bristow that will make you laugh until you cry,
with hilariously dead-on Bridget-voice.
(CSI/The West Wing)
Places
People Live by The Stylus
Stuck in Vegas, CJ meets the enigmatic Catherine.
A girl-slasher's delight written with complexity and depth.
The
Art of Make Believe by Abaddon
Brilliant, subtle HP/BtVS crossover.
Harry Potter is just an ordinary boy with a big imagination, until he gets
sent to the guidance counselor.
Emotional
Scar by Laura Smith
A heartbreaking and hot Remus/Giles
fic set soon after Sirius is sent to Azkaban.
The
End of the Beginning by Mariner
Giles and Ethan run into some magical
folk in the summer of 1981, and get caught up in their struggle against
a deadly enemy. Yes, a BtVS/HP crossover that actually works, taking into
account the differences in metaphysics and tackling the question of how
MWPP could have become so fractured, plus Ethan and Snape snark, Giles
being Research Guy and a lovely version of James and Lily that made my
heart ache all over again for their deaths.
Resenting
Paris by shrift
This should come with a warning.
Very, VERY hot. So hot the blood rushed to my head and turned my face pink.
Krycek meats Weiss and shows us all why there should be a Krycek for all
occasions.
Highwire
by Vehemently
Sydney's disappeared, and Jack and
Will show up in London on a lead. A delicious Alias/MI-5 (Spooks) vignette
full of sharp character moments, with not a single wasted word.
The
Waiting Room by Nestra
Death's not what Buffy expected.
Excellent BtVS/Sandman crossover, that nails both first season Buffy and
Death. It made me a little sniffly and still put a smile on my face.
Lovers
and Dreamers by Amy
Smallville meets the Muppet Show.
No, really. It works brilliantly. Sexy bald billionaire Lex Luthor has
just purchased the ever-foundering Muppet Theatre, thus sending Kermit,
Miss Piggy, head writer Chloe Sullivan, and stagehand Clark Kent into a
tizzy. Piggy comes up with a Sekrit Plan that, of course, backfires, Lionel
hangs out with Waldorf and Statler, and the jokes fly fast and furious.
Lovely
by Martha
This is an imaginatively-conceived
and tightly-written crossover gen fic, covering Stargate SG1 and The Sentinel,
with a dash of the creepy, a pinch of the intriguing, and brimming with
generous helpings of insightful character moments. The story actually made
me seek out and watch The Sentinel, such were the skills with which Martha
drew the characters of Jim and Blair.
One
Big Happy Pantheon by K. A. Rose.
A chance encounter between the Antichrist
and the last descendant of Jesus Christ has repercussions on several planes.
Fortunately, we have just the angels, demons, witches, witch-finders (retired)
and fallen, Purgatory-bound (except on their lunch breaks) angels for the
job.
You
(and Her) by Michelle k.
A fantastic Brenda portrait and
some credible interaction with Donna from the Wing. What really impresses
me is the little voice in Brenda's head that questions every move she makes.
Effective and intriguing.
Perfection
by Nostalgia
Another bizarre little tale from
Nostalgia. Seven encounters existentialism and the shortfalls of representation.
Philosophical, believable and insightful - and such a pleasure to read.
Nostalgia's stories are always a treat to come across.
Given
Name by Azar
I don't know why anyone hasn't explored
this idea before. *Of course* River would remind Spike of someone in his
past. Great voice for both characters.
The
Scarab by BK the irregular
This is an entertaining action/adventure
story that seamlessly integrates the canon from both Buffy and Stargate,
with witty dialogue and voices that are just *spot on* for every
single character. A grand rollicking fun.
Forgotten
Girl by Mary Borsellino
Set post-Gift, about Dawn and what
if the spell the monks put on her had an expiration date. Also, an unexpected
crossover that made me happy.
Them
Mean Ol', Low-Down Lando Calrissian Blues by Yahtzee
Absolutely hilarious WW/XF/SV/Angel
crossover that must be read to be believed.
Donna,
the Vampire Slayer, by Nomad
A witty cross-over between "The
West Wing" and "Buffy the Vamprie Slayer" with dead-on Sorkinesque Donna
and Josh voices. Tremendous fun.
Touch
by Seema
A Voyager/TNG crossover with Janeway/Picard.
An intriguing post-Endgame story, with captain/captain sex. Can’t
go wrong.
Unless
You're Us by Editrix
Buffy and Spock attend a self-help
group for the formerly-deceased. With deadpan humour, lovely dialogue
and an oddly familiar group guru...
No
Fury by FayJay
Victoria Hardwick meets a woman
in a bar. Wishing ensues. Smallville/Buffy
The
Language that God Speaks by Liz Barr
A wonderful little Harry Potter/Sandman
crossover that runs with Terry Pratchett's idea that "all libraries are
one library," with great characterization of all parties, and a Hermione
I really, really like.
Fairy
Wings by Ellen M.
There really is something about
challenges that brings out the most extraordinary writing. Ellen M. takes
Reyes and Amy and brings them together in a way that is fantastic - in
the truest sense of the word. The writing is lovely and Reyes is perfect.
Impress
by Kelly Chambliss
This is a Janeway slash story written
from the point of view of DS9's Kai Winn. I love the way Kelly captured
Winn's insanity, this steadfast belief that everything she did was the
will of the prophets. The story is so convincing - it made me think about
a character I'd long forgotten. And Kelly's writing is always a treat.
Letonia
and The Ties That Bind by Cherry Ice
I really liked the way Cherry wove
Scully into the fabric of the X-Men's lives, and the use of Doggett is
inspired. Two universes that really work well together.
Than
Fade Away by Jemima
Jemima Pereira, Queen of AUs, turns
her attention to post-"Endgame" Voyager meta-fic. Spans the breadth
of modern Trek, with several highly dubious relationships and more than
a dash of snark.
Borderland
by CobraGirl
A fascinating, well written Sandman/Smallville
crossover, that nicely meshes the two universes.
Like
Minds by Perri Smith
An Angel/Dead Zone crossover.
Two strangers meet in a bar, only to learn that they have far more things
in common than they first realized. There's a certain quiet glow about
this story. It lingers.
